IBS does not release the IBSAT cutoff details officially. Candidates can check the final scutoff on the scorecard or on release of the merit list.

Yes, entrance tests are accepted for selection in VELS School of Engineering MTech. The selection for admission in preferred programme is based on the merit and the candidate's performance in the mentioned entrance tests:

  • VELS Entrance Test
  • GATE
  • TANCET

Yes, candidates can crack APICET exam through self study only of the candidate is discplined and consistent in preparation. Candidates must refer the best books with updated syllaus for APICET exam and refer the online resources to understand the important concepts. For self-study, candidates must ensure to take the APICET mock test to become familar with the exam pattern

No, entrance tests are not required for selection in Arena Animation, Moradabad. The selection for admission in preferred programme is based on the merit. The final shortlist is made on last qualifying exam scores or the selection is decided by the management. Admissions for Arena Animation are direct in nature.

Yeah, Thapar does have that board merit route with JEE as a tiebreaker.

For CSE at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, it's quite competitive even through boards.

Rough idea:

  • You usually need around 95–97%+ in PCM to be safe
  • With 93–95%, chances become borderline (depends on year)
  • JEE percentile helps only in tie situations

Cutoffs fluctuate every year based on demand, but CSE is always the highest.

So if your board % is very strong, you've got a shot — otherwise it gets tough 👍
