Sports Awareness section has the highest weightage in the SMAT exam. It has 24 questions. Verbal Ability has 20 questions and rest three sections have 12 questions.

It is not compulsory to attempt all sections of SMAT but it is advisable to attempt a good number of questions in each section of the exam for a good overall score.

SMAT is conducted for 80 minutes. There is no sectional time limit so candidates need to divide time between the sections accordingly.

Achieving over 90% in the Maharashtra SSC is considered good. A score above 75% is considered good enough to get admission in a reputable college.

Students are required to secure a minimum of 35% marks in each subject to pass the exam. Out of 100 marks, students must score a minimum of 35 marks to clear the Maharashtra Board Class 10 2026 exam. Out of 80 marks for theory papers, students must score a minimum of 28. Out of 20 marks for practical papers, students must score at least 7 marks.

SVKMs NMIMS will conduct the NPAT 2026 exam in two phases. Phase 1 exams are scheduled from February 10 to March 31, 2026. The Phase 2 testing window will remain open from April 1 to June 1, 2026
