Yes, JEE Mains is a compulsory entrance exam to secure admissions at NIT Patna. Candidates will be alloted seats to the BTech course during the JoSAA counseling on the basis of JEE Mains scores secured for that academic year at NIT Patna.

No other entrance exam scores are accepted for NIT Patna BTech admissions.

JEE is not required to take admissions in Birla Technical Training Institute. Since Birla Technical Training Institute offers Polytechnic Engineering Diploma courses, students after class 10 can take admissions based on merit. Competitive exams like JEE is not the requirement. For lateral admissions to 2nd year, class 12 or ITI percentage is considered.
