I don't understand why your concepts are not clear while you are in 3rd year now. Please contact your faculty to help you with the concepts, else you will obviously face difficulties in the future if your foundation is not strong. What you learn in your graduation is very important to buil

Yes if you wish to drop a year for IIAD's preparation, you can go ahead with the plan. Also, don't just make IIAD your goal, do consider and prepare for other design exams too.
