Hi, In India, the most common and widely accepted way to pursue a M.Tech is by qualifying for GATE. To know how you can pursue an M.Tech without a GATE score, refer below:

Some institutes conduct their own entrance exams for admission to MTech.
Some colleges have limited no. of seats for sponsored candidates.
Certain institutes offer direct admission to candidates with exceptional academic records.

Candidates can get admission in BIT Mesra M.Tech course with a valid GATE score. The selection is done based on the applicants performance in the accepted exam, performance in selection rounds, and academic performance. Aspirants with a GATE score can also apply. The selection for Non-GATE candidates is done based on academic record and performance in the interview round.

GATE normalisation process is done to provide fairness to all applicants who are appearing for examination. It is because GATE is conducted in multiple sessions. In such case, raw marks are converted into normalised marks using the formula.
