Dear students.

According to some sources, the Central University of Punjab (CUP) does not accept GATE scores or other entrance exam scores. However, other sources say that candidates with a valid GATE score are given preference over other applicants. 

To apply to CUP, you can: -

1) Visit the university's official website,

2) Click on the tab for the online admission form,

3) Read the eligibility norms and other important instructions,

No, you need not appear for BITS HD exam if you have a valid GATE/GPAT score. Applicants with valid GATE/GPAT score can also fill BITS HD application form. These applicants are exempt from taking the BITS HD 2024 exam. Candidates who have successfully registered must use their login information to finish the BITS HD 2024 slot booking. Candidates can download their BITS HD admission card 2024 after successfully booking a slot. A few days after the exam ends, the exam authority will provide the BITS HD result 2024 in iteration form. Those that are deemed qualified will be able to take part in the BITS HD counselling in 2024.

No, it is not necessary to have a GATE score. As the institute accepts scores of other national-level exams such as UGC-NET/CSIR-NET as well. Moreover, aspirants who did not appear for any of the mentioned exams can take the written test conducted by IIT Mandi.

No, candidates seeking admisison must have a valid score in IIT JAM exam and not GATE. GATE is the accepted exam for admission to M.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar. The institute also offers an Early Admit MSc, the eligibility criteria for that is as follows:

  • BSc and BTech students from select colleges and NITs, respectively who will graduate in 2022 or have graduated in 2021 and are among the top five rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year and final year are eligible to apply for Early Admit MSc

No, the university does not accept GATE or any other entrance exam score. Admission to M.Tech course is purely based on merit. Bharath University shortlists candidates for M.Tech based on their score in the last qualifying exam. BIHER releases a merit list announcing the names of selected aspirants. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification round. Aspirants need to bring the documents proving their eligibility for verification.  For BITS Hyderabad ME course admission, candidates can apply with a valid GATE score. Apart from GATE, the candidates can also apply with a BITS HD entrance test score. Apart from this, for final selection, the shortlisted candidates also have to participate in the group discussion and personal interview rounds conducted by the institute. The institute releases a separate merit list for candidates who applied through GATE and BITS HD.
