The status check facility is available during the registration process. The GATE 2026 application form status can be checked by following the steps below -

  • Visit the official website of GATE 2026- gate2026.iitg.ac.in

  • Click on the GOAPS portal

  • Enter the enrollment ID and password. Click on the submit button

  • The application status will be displayed on the screen

If a candidate's application form is under scrutiny, then the GATE conducting authorities will send a email regarding the discrepancy and the deadline for rectification.

The important GATE dates include the application form, admit card, exam dates, result, and counselling dates. No, you cannot change the exam city centre once the admit card for GATE is released. Candidates will be able to make changes in their exam centre at the time of GATE 2025 form correction. Candidates can change the GATE exam city during the GATE application form correction at the GOAPS portal. The step-by-step process to change the GATE exam city is as follows -

  • Visit the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website
  • Login to your account with your Enrollment ID/Email Address, Password and Captcha
  • Click on Change Examination City
  • After making changes to the GATE 2025 examination city, you need to make a payment of Rs 500. The payment can be done through net banking/credit/debit card/UPI.
