Hi,
IELTS is a english proficiency test which need to taken by all the international students whose first or native language is not english.
IELTS has 4 section namely:
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
- Listening
IELTS scores are valid for 2 years.
There are two version of IELTS test:
1. Academic IELTS.
2. General IELTS.
The Academic IELTS exam is the more advanced test. This version is generally used to determine whether candidates are qualified to enroll in undergraduate and graduate academic programs where English is the medium of instruction.

I have joined a good institute n Hyderabad called IELTSguru where i am very satisfied with their teaching and support for IELTS and GRE. If you stay in hyderabad go and attend the course there its good. i got 6.5 bands with their help.
The IELTS score is valid for 2 years.

As per your query please remember:
1. IELST scores are valid for two years.
2. So your scored should not be more then 2 years old.
3. You may take IELTS test multiple times and the highest would be considered for admission, provided it should not be more then 2 years old.
