Programs at The Orenburg State Medical University are offered in Russian as well as English, The popular programs such as MD and MBBS are provided in English language. Hence, it is required for the Indian students to prove their English language proficiency. Other than IELTS, below mentioned are the other eligibility criteria for Indian students:
- Candidates willing to apply at the university must attain 50% marks in Science with English in the Unreserved category in 12th standard.

Though as an international student, taking admission to one of the universities in Canada would require students to submit IELTS or any other equivalent English language proficiency tests. But, there are some Canadian Universities that do not require IELTS. These are given below:
- Brock University
- University of Winnipeg
- University of Regina
- Concordia University
- Seneca College
- Carleton University
- Cambrian College

The minimum IELTS score needed to be eligible for admission to the institute is 7.0. However, the institute advises students to secure a score equal to or above 7.5.

Santa Clara University requires a minimum of 6.5 and 7 scores in IELTS for UG and PG programs. There are no specific educational qualifications required to take the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. Anyone who is at least 16 years old can take the test.
