MA is a postgraduate academic degree that is awarded in a non-science subject. An MA is a 2-year degree program that can be done in subjects like English, Hindi and any regional or foreign language.
The basic eligibility criterion to be fulfilled by students for applying to MA course is completion Bachelors degree in any stream. Admission to the course is based on entrance exams along with merit obtained by students in Bachelors degree. However the eligibility may vary from university to university.

After result announcement, qualified candidates have to fill an application form for admission (Form 2) at the concerned regional center. The admission form will be available through online mode. Candidates have to bring result card, identity proof & all other relevant documents. Candidates are advised to keep a print copy of the application form submitted to IGNOU. The admission to the management courses (MBA & specialisation PG Diploma in HRM, OM, FM, MM & FMP) will be based on the score secured in the OPENMAT exam. IGNOU 2020 Cut-Off will be released by the IGNOU University. It is the minimum marks decided by the University for providing admission into various courses. Candidates will have a choice to get admission in any of the two subsequent semesters, I. e. one who passes in August 2019 (OPENMAT) can get admission in January or July 2020 semester.
