Considered top institutes for their BTech, admission to this institute is conducted at a level at par with the top-most BTech colleges in India i.e. via JEE Main followed by JoSAA Counselling. The total fee for IIIT Kota BTech programme is INR 7.2 lakh. Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year 2023-24, hence is indicative. For SC/ST/PwD students a fee waiver of 20% is granted, also students cab apply to State/Central government Scholarships.

As per the admission norm of IIIT Kota, admission to BTech and MTech is based on the performance in JEE Main and GATE. Therefore candidates must prepare for the entrance exams. IIIT Kota admission is regulated by JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA/ CSAB counselling for admission to its flagship BTech programme. Admission to MTech at IIIT Kota is subject to a valid score in GATE exam followed by CCMT Counselling. Additionally, students must meet the minimum eligibility for the same. Further, to apply for M.Tech at IIIT Kota, candidates need to visit the official website of the respective national-level authority which conducts those exams and fill the online application form. Around 90% of students got placed from IIIT Kota, which is really great. Students from electronics and communications and computer Science got placed in great companies. As per the official website, the the highest package and average package offered during placements 2023 stood at INR 53.6 LPA and INR 14.6 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 181 offers were made and 83.01% placement rate was recorded during IIIT Kota placements 2023. The top recruiters of IIIT Kota in the past years were Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Cvent, Samsung, etc.

Yes, students willing to change their branch of Engineering at IIIT Kota can do so. The institute provides an opportunity to change the branch in the second year but in order to be eligible for the same, students ae required to maintain a CGPA of 8.0 and more in the first two semesters. Yes, as per IIIT Kota’s admission policy, it accepts JEE Main score for admission to its four-year BTech programme. However, gaining a valid score in JEE Main is not enough for admission to IIIT Kota. Candidates are also required to go through JoSAA counselling or CSAB counselling process to secure a seat in the institute.
