IIIT Kota offers UG, PG and PhD course in various specialisations. BTech is the flagship course offered by the Institution. IIIT Kota offers a four-year BTech programme in two specialisations in full-time mode. These include Computer Science Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. IIIT Kota admission to the flagship BTech course is completely entrance-based. Interested candidates are required to apply and appear for JEE Main.

IIIT Kota BTech doesn't come free of course. Candidates have to submit a minimum fee of INR 6.8 lakh, after completing all the admission procedure. IIIT Kota offers BTech in two specialisation i.e. Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The seat intake for BTech CSE is 90, which is less than CE whose seat intake is 180.

IIIT Kota offers BTech programme in two specialisations : Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. The cutoff score for BTech CSE for the year 2023 is 27979. 23619 and 22155 was the Cutoff score for the year 2021 and 2022 repectively. As seen from cutoffs score of the past two years we can conclude that competition for the BTsch CSE score has rose higher compare to the proevious two year.

IIIT Kota BTech admission is completely entrance-based. Interested candidates are required to apply and appear for JEE Main. After qualifying for the exam, they are required to participate in JoSAA/CSAB counselling for final seat allotment. JEE Main exam dates for BTech programme for admission to IIIT Kota is scheduled on Jan 24, which is tentative. As per the exam pattern of JEE Mains, the exam is conducted online as a Computer Based Test. JEE Main 2024 will have three papers, Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech course, Paper 2A for BArch admission and Paper 2B for BPlan course admission. The duration of the JEE Main exam is three hours and has Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 will have a total of 90 questions while Paper 2A and 2B have 82 and 105 questions respectively.

The selection to IIIT Kota’s BTech programme is based on the candidate’s JEE Main exam score followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) through which they are allotted a seat. The seat allotment also depends on the college cutoff and a candidate’s preference for that course and college. JoSAA registrations usually begin from the third week of June in online mode. However, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) manages the counselling process for the remaining vacant seats.
