Decent facilities if you are looking for this college your rank is not good so accept it.
Placements: Around 80% of students get placed, but it includes off-campus as well. The highest package for ECE is around 40 LPA. The main difference that the branch creates is the % of students placed, and you will have to study core subjects from the 3rd semester onwards. Overall, the college is decent, but some hostel accommodation problems are going on.
Infrastructure: The college is actually good because it was built in 2022. Facilities are quite good, and you will feel that the hostel is better than most NITs' hostels. The mess food is decent. You can live on it. Sports and games are available, like grounds, but it is just bare minimum.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Most of them are strict in terms of attendance and stuff, but some teachers are very strict, really because of their own personality, not because they are told to do this. Exams are quick, mid-sem have 2 exams a day, 5 exams, and end-sems last 9 to 12 days.
Other: Fests happen, but not great. Overall, a decent college.

It is great for students if they want to take admission in any IIIT except government ones.
Placements: Placements are good in my college. If students are hardworking, know how to do smart work, and have skills, then they can get placements here. We should just focus on developing skills that will be required in the future, like DSA, OOPs, MATLAB, and HTML.
Infrastructure: The campus is very beautiful with a lot of trees and plants. We can see mountains clearly. There is AC in each classroom. There are 2 badminton courts in each hostel. The study room is there for silent and focused study. The canteen is not that good, but it is enough to satisfy our cravings.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. Some of them are very supportive and helpful. Most of them teach very well. The course curriculum is relevant as it teaches DSA, which is a must-have for any placement interview and the first demand of any company. Semester exams are moderately difficult. We can get a good grade by studying for just 2 hours daily and with regular classes.

Shortage of hostels, a decent campus, nice placements, and low crowd, which can be a pro or con.
Placements: As far as I know, when it comes to placements, it doesn't matter what the course or the branch we are in, and what matters here is the right skill set. The placement report of the 2026 batch is quite good. Almost 90-95 percent of students are placed with the average package that ranges from 15-16 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college campus is decent. It has nice sports facilities, air-conditioned classrooms, and labs with well-established equipment and devices. The hostel has a shortage of seats in the campus hostel, and half of the 2029 batch students are given a hostel at a remote location. The bus facility is provided by the college, but it consumes time on a daily basis.
Faculty: The course curriculum at IIIT Una is well-designed for the betterment of students. Faculty members are decent. There is a minimum of 75 percent attendance criteria to appear in exams (but flexible up to 5-10 percent). Exams are not very difficult, but there is a competitive environment among students.

Growing Institute with good infrastructure and decent placement opportunities.
Placements: I am a final-year student of the 2025 batch from electronics and communication. The placement scenario has been fairly strong increasing demand for electronics. Approximately 70%-73% of students from our batch have been placed while drives still going on. It would be better in the near future.
Infrastructure: Our college is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure to support academic and research activities. The classrooms are well-ventilated, equipped with projects, and fully AC-oriented. High-speed data is provided through Wi-Fi but sometimes power cuts lead to poor quality.
Faculty: The faculty of my branch are generally well-qualified holding Ph.D. and M.Tech degree in their domain. They are knowledgeable and approachable and have good relations with students. But I would say our college more focuses on theoretical knowledge than practical.
Other: I chose this college because of the wide range of opportunities not only in electronics but also in computer science. We have a balanced curriculum that has facilities hands-on in labs and programming design. But there is still a need for improvement. The campus is vibrant and has multiple cultural and technical activities organized by clubs.

The college is good, if one is good.
Placements: In 2024, approximately 60%-70% of students were placed and many remain unplaced as a result of recession this year. The highest salary package offered is 30 LPA and the average salary package offered ranges from 8 LPA - 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Nvidia, Intel, etc. As a fresher, I do not know much about internships. Top roles mostly include web developer and app developer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good and hostel is also quite good as compared to other IIITs. Various electronics labs and infrastructure is also available for course. We also have department library, microwave lab, etc. Food quality is okayish, one can expect good food sometimes but sometimes the quality is not up to the mark. Canteen is available. Cricket, badminton, table tennis, and football are some of the most prominent sports our institute offers. In general, we can expect a good quality time here inside hostel and on campus as well.
Faculty: Some faculty members are knowledgeable and some are good but overall everyone is quite good at something. Everyone is master of something and one can't deny this fact. Teachers are helpful and qualified and well teaching qaulity is not up to the mark as one would expect but still okay about relevancy of course. I can say that it is somewhat relevant but not as much as one would expect it. It somewhat makes students industry-ready, but to be completely ready one must prepare themselves. Exams are good level.
Other: I chose this course because I am only getting this course in JoSAA. According to my rank of 49,000 and for now, as a fresher I don't know quite the best things about my course. But I have heard that semiconductor industry is going to boom till 2028 so I hope that I can do well. Something that I wish to be better is that there should be relevant courses. Events, fests, campus, and other things are also available.

A Journey into IIIT Una by Vaibhav.
Placements: I am providing information about packages not for my batch as I will graduate in 2027. I am sharing details about the batch that passed out in 2022-2023. They secured an average package of 15 Lacs per annum with an almost 85 percent placement rate in the electronics branch. The highest package in the Electronics and Communication branch was nearly 60 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: There are labs for various subjects such as Physics, Electronics, Electrical, Chemistry and Computer Science. Faculty members actively assist students in practical work. Speaking of studies the infrastructure for courses is fixed, and faculty members consistently strive to deliver their best in teaching. They also provide extra lectures when necessary.
Faculty: Almost all teachers in our college are well-qualified with degrees like Ph.D. and M.Tech from renowned institutions like IITs and NITs. The exam pattern and exam dates are fixed. Our college follows a relative grading system emphasizing not just individual marks but also the performance compared to other students in the same branch.
Other: The college organizes various events like Yalgaar, Meraki, and Mridang. Yalgaar is a sports event, Meraki is technical, and Mridang is a cultural fest. While there is some high pressure regarding studies, it should be slightly reduced.

IIIT UNA is an overall good college with good infrastructure, experienced teachers, and stuff.
Placements: The highest package offered was 60 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 8 LPA. The average package for the Information Technology branch was 16 LPA, the computer science branch was 13 LPA, and the electronics and communication branch was 12 LPA. Amazon and LinkedIn were the top recruiting companies. 93% of students were placed in the past batch.
Infrastructure: Hostels' infrastructure is very good and spacious, with each room having a capacity for three students. Hostel rooms are also large and well-ventilated. Both hostels and college blocks are cleaned every day. The mess food is good compared to most colleges, and there is a mess committee of students that decides the menu and addresses students' complaints. Classrooms and labs are also excellent, well-airconditioned, and spacious, equipped with all necessary facilities.
Faculty: The course curriculum is well-planned, and after the 4th semester, students can study subjects from other branches in which they have interests. There are two cycle tests and one end-semester exam every semester. Practical and viva are conducted before or after every exam. Teachers and engineering assistants are very helpful, and most of them are well-qualified.
