BTech at IIIT Una is offered as a four-year undergraduate programme across five specialisations in full-time mode, namely, BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, BTech in Information Technology, etc. The selection of candidates to IIIT Una BTech is based on the JEE Main rank obtained by applicants. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) manages and regulates the counselling process for admission to all IIITs.
The seat allotment through JoSAA is based on a candidate's JEE Main rank and preference of courses and colleges. The remaining vacant seats after JoSAA Counselling are filled through two special rounds of CSAB Counselling. According the cutoff list released by IIIT Una for admission to its flagship BTech programme the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) in the year 2021, 2022 & 2023 was 41419, 28324 & 30243 respectively. This clearly shows that the closing rank for the CSE branch at IIIT Una increased excessively in the year 2022 with respect to the year 2021 but it couldn’t maintain that growth for very long and crashed down to 30243 in the current year 2023 which makes the lowers the difficulty level for those who are willing to enrol in BTech in CSE at IIIT Una. Also, the same trend is followed by the Information Technology branch whose closing rank in the years 2021 & 2022 was 48004 & 31492, respectively but it also slumped down to 37091 in the current year 2023. In addition to this, BTech in Electronics & Communication was no different as it also followed the graph of the former two BTech branches.

STEP 1: IIIT Una BTech Application Process 2026
For admission to the BTech at IIIT Una, eligible candidates must apply for JEE Main exam. Later on, candidates must also register for the counselling process of Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) as per the seats availability. NTA announced JEE Main 2024 dates. NTA coducted the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions. JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 was January 24 to February 1 while the second session was held from April 4 to 15. Candidates can check JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 and 2 on this page. JEE Main 2024 application form session 1 was available from November 1 to December 4. For session 2, NTA released application form on February 2.
At the undergraduate level, IIIT UNA offers BTech courses to students. The total tuition fee for all BTech courses is INR 7.6 LPA. This is only the tuition fee. Students may also have to pay for the Hostel Fee of INR 2.99 lakh. Additionally, a one-time Security Deposit of INR 5,000 must also be paid. No, IIIT Una admissions 2026 are not open yet. For now, Admission 2025-26 has concluded and classes have started from august 2025. Uusually IIIT Una admissions commence with appearing for JEE and then further rounds like JOSAA AND CSAB counselling take place.
