For 2022, cut off was 11217 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 17470 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIT Gandhinagar campus is sprawling over an area of 400 acres. IIT Gandhinagar offers various facilities to its students such as student housing, a central dining facility, a sports/ gym facility and recreation spaces. A total of 6 hostel blocks accommodating both UG and PG students with spacious single and double-seated rooms are also offered in the new campus of IIT Gandhinagar. Below mentioned are some of the other campus facilities offered by IIT Gandhinagar:

  • A common hostel library and reading area
  • Two independent mess facilities and a large central cafeteria with open-air seating

IIT Gandhinagar was established in 2008 and is ranked 18 by NIRF 2023 for Engineering.  It also holds a record of offering the highest and average package of INR 62 and INR 15.35 LPA to the students. Hence, it can be considered a good option.

Recently, IIT Gandhinagar released IIT JAM 2023 results on Mar 21. GATE 2023 results have also been declared online by IIT Kharagpur. Also, IIT Gandhinagar released the JoSAA Round 6 Seat Allotment for admissions 2022 to the BTech programme. All the seats were filled after Round 6. Candidates can check the JoSAA R6 closing ranks (CRs) on this page and on JoSAA's official website. To get a good rank for IIT Gandhinagar, students should first qualify JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced. They should secure a top rank generally between 6000 to 11000 in JEE Advance.

  • Check syllabus and high weightage topics
  • Solve previous year papers 
  • Choose your reference books wisely
  • Solve as many Mock Tests as possible
  • Revise as much as possible
  • Keep your focus on NCERT books at this point

IIT JAM 2023 opening and closing ranks for IIT Gandhinagar has been released for three MSc specialisations, including Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. As per the JAM 2023 First Admission List, the cutoff rank for MSc in Mathematics is more competititve than the other two specialisations. The opening and closing ranks for M.Sc Mathematics are 211 and 331, respectively. Candidates can refer to the table given below to check out the specialisation-wise Rouns 1 closing ranks for IIT Gandhinagar M.Sc course:

IIT Gandhinagar offers a Ph.D. course to students at the doctoral level in 13 specialisations. Apart from regular Ph.D. courses, the institute also provides Start Early Ph.D. courses to students. Offered in regular and continuing doctoral programmes (CDP) mode, admission to Ph.D. and Start Early Ph.D. courses is based on an interview round which is followed by a written test, if necessary. The seats are limited so the students must apply early.

No, it is not compulsory for various course students to stay in the hostel while pursuing B.Tech programmes from Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar). Students can willingly stay at the hostel, IIT Gandhinagar has eight centrally air-conditioned hostel buildings. All of these hostels are largely managed by students through the hostel maintenance committee. These hostels offer a number of facilities to students including convenience shops and various eateries, a mini library with a big reading room, music room, common rooms, art room, sports courts, and others.

IIT Gandhinagarprovides various facilities to students. Some of the facilities offered are medical facilitues , sports , and fully furnished accommodation for various students are available. The Library has a rapidly expanding collection of books including reference books, textbooks,etc.
