IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology will release 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to B.Tech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering was 11217 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology.

For 2024, cut off was 7742 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering in IIT Gandhinagar. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 15791 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 4170 for OBC, 2286 for SC, 686 for ST, 1741 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 9339 and closing rank was 10234. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 17386 and 17839. Admission to B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in IIT Gandhinagar is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

IIT Gandhinagar campus is sprawling over an area of 400 acres. IIT Gandhinagar offers various facilities to its students such as student housing, a central dining facility, a sports/ gym facility and recreation spaces. A total of 6 hostel blocks accommodating both UG and PG students with spacious single and double-seated rooms are also offered in the new campus of IIT Gandhinagar. Below mentioned are some of the other campus facilities offered by IIT Gandhinagar:

  • A common hostel library and reading area
  • Two independent mess facilities and a large central cafeteria with open-air seating

IIT Gandhinagar was established in 2008 and is ranked 18 by NIRF 2023 for Engineering.  It also holds a record of offering the highest and average package of INR 62 and INR 15.35 LPA to the students. Hence, it can be considered a good option.

Recently, IIT Gandhinagar released IIT JAM 2023 results on Mar 21. GATE 2023 results have also been declared online by IIT Kharagpur. Also, IIT Gandhinagar released the JoSAA Round 6 Seat Allotment for admissions 2022 to the BTech programme. All the seats were filled after Round 6. Candidates can check the JoSAA R6 closing ranks (CRs) on this page and on JoSAA's official website. To get a good rank for IIT Gandhinagar, students should first qualify JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced. They should secure a top rank generally between 6000 to 11000 in JEE Advance.

  • Solve previous year papers
