The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech. under General category for all India quota was 4127. In 2023, it decreased to 3962. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 1904 to 2143 for OBC, 1144 to 1461 for SC, 652 to 584 for ST, and 809 to 719 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for Engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

For 2023, cut off was 2110 for General category candidates in All India quota for Integrated M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in General category under All India quota, 3197 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology will release 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:
- The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
- The category of the candidate
- The number of seats available in the course
Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

The year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech in Civil Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar - Indian Institute of Technology for Other Than General category are - 4288 for OBC, 2432 for SC, 694 for ST, and 1846 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

For female candidates in the General category under All India quota, 17696 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
