The modes of IIT Gandhinagar admissions are online and offline. Admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. Accepted entrance exams are GATE, JEE Main, and JEE Advanced. Candidates must study GATE exam pattern, keep an eye on GATE exam date and GATE result. Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has not released the placement Statistics for the 2023. However, as per the latest placement report for 2022, IIT Gandhinagar has concluded its B.Tech placements for the 2022 passing out batch. The highest and average package offered during 2022 placement drive was INR 62 LPA and INR 15.35 LPA, respectively. Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has recorded 92% placements for the B.Tech batch passing out in the year 2022.

No, admission to BTech is not possible without clearing JEE Advanced exam at IIT Gandhinagar. So those candidates who are aspiring to get admission at IIT Gandhinagar for Engineering courses must prepare well in advance as the competition is high and seats are limited. So apply early as admissions are currently open for admission to various courses.

Yes, admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at IIT Gandhinagar is based on merit and entrance exam scores. No, a hostel is not compulsory at IIT Gandhinagar for M.Tech students. However, the college's hostel is very good. Currently, the college has eight hostels. The campus hostels are air-conditioned and have well-furnished rooms. The academic area is just a short distance from the hostels. The student hostels are largely Wi-Fi enabled.

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for M.Sc in Mathematics is Class 12 with a minimum aggregate set by the college and the accepted entrance exam is IIT JAM. MSc degree is offered in various specialisations like Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Cognitive Science. Application to MSc courses at IIT Gandhinagar usually begins in December. The application fee for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates is INR 150 and for all other categories, it is INR 300.
