Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories acquiring a rank of 2000 can get BTech in Chemical Engineering, BTech in Civil Engineering, and BTech + M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering under SC AI quota, however, at 2000 rank, candidates belonging to ST AI quota won't get admission to any of the course available at IIT Gandhinagar.

While analysing the increase in the competition, candidates need to put extra effort to reach ahead of the competiton, the IIT Gandhinagar JEE Advanced cutoff 2024 for OBC category stood between 750 and 4653 for the All India quota. Going as per the trends, the decrease in the cutoff ranks alarming candidates to work hard and prepare dedicatedly and consistently for the exam.

Ultimately, the choice comes down to personal goals and preferences. Durham offers a globally recognised education within excellent research facilities and varied exposures to teaching styles and a wide international network. IIT Gandhinagar is amongst the IITs, best engineering colleges with stringent academic standards and a good research opportunity with industry connections in India. Though Durham may have an international exposure, IIT Gandhinagar gives a quality technical education focusing on placing its career opportunities in the local Indian job market. The decision would depend on long-term ambitions and location preferences

Yes, IIT Gandhinagar MA admission takes place through the merit secured in last qualifying exam of graduation. Candidates applying for admission into the programme do not need to apply for any entrance exam. If a candidate has a minimum aggregate of 55% in graduation they are eligible for admission at the university. Therefore, if candidates want to apply for admission they can apply for admission at the university without any entrance exam.

Yes, as there are multiple levels to secure admission in IIT Gandhinagar the admission process can be a bit difficult for aspirants. To secure admission into the programme candidates have to first clear the IIT JAM entrance exam followed by CCMN counselling.
The admission process also has an interview round, which candidates have to clear to secure provisional admission into the programme. Thus, candidates applying for admission in the programme will have to go through a lot of rounds to secure admission into the programme.

No, Candidates cannot get direct admission into IIT Gandhinagar MSc as admissions into the programme take place through the merit secured in the IIT JAM entrance exam. Candidates applying for admission into the programme will have to first appear for IIT JAM and then subsequently appear for CCMN counselling.
The final admission takes place through interviews conducted by the institute at the time of admission. Once candidates have cleared the interview, candidates will have to pay some amount of the tuition fee to confirm their admission. JEE Advanced cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1. For IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay, the Round 1 cutoff for Chemical Engineering were 2207 and 2507, respectively for the General AI category candidates. For IIT Gandhinagar, the Round 1 cutoff for CSE was 1576. So, to answer your question, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay are always a good options as compared to IIT Gandhinagar based on thier NIRF ranking. For Chemical Engineering, both IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay are highly recommended as they have excellent faculty, research opportunities, and strong alumni networks.
