IIT gandhinagar is good college because there are numerous internship opportunities available on campus, facilitated by the Industrial and Research Project Council. This council is dedicated to finding suitable internships for students. Stipends vary based on the nature of the work, ranging from as low as INR 3000 to as high as INR 40,000 per month for online internships. For offline internships, stipends can go up to INR 2 Lacs per month, depending on the work and the company.

Students are eligible for internships starting in their fifth semester and placements beginning in their seventh semester. Nearly 90% of applicants seeking placements are hired. The average package is between INR 10 and 11 Lacs per year, with the top package valued at INR 72 Lacs.

The eligibility requirements for IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) did not involve a minimum percentage or marks in Class 12 for the majority of participating institutes. The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM are largely concerned with the bachelor's degree and the minimum marks or CGPA necessary to secure in that degree.

Candidates for the IIT JAM must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55 per cent aggregate or 5.5 CGPA/CPI. Apart from it, candidates also need to submit a physical fitness certificate at the time of admissions. Candidates found unfit to pursue his/her science course can be denied admission by the admitting institute.

Not getting into IIT Gandhinagar or any other premium IIT should not be considered an end to a student’s career. While IIT Gandhinagar can give an average salary of INR 19.60 LPA to its 2023 placements batch, can IIT Gandhinagar guarantee the same for each and every student of the batch? The answer is no.
