Hello ! since you have not done well in JEE mains , dont worry there are still many colleges who conducts their own entrance examination.These colleges are doing equally good as top Government institutions,so why to waste your precious one year when you are having a good colleges to get admission.he

I think u r not aware of the fact that the institutes u r trying to compare are from different domain. Former ones are premier in engineering/technology and the later ones are superior choice in management. So there is no comparision dear. Thank you.

JEE Mains is for NIT's and IIIT's and JEE advance is for IIT, but to proceed to JEE Advance you need to clear JEE Main
