A score of 80 per cent or more is generally considered as excellent in HBSE 12th exam. 60-70 per cent is considered good. Candidates must aim to get more than 90 percent to get admission in good colleges. The passing marks are 33 per cent.

There is a reservation of seats for the students having Rajasthan State Domicile for the BTech programme in Jaipur Engineering College. Such students are required to fill the Application-cum-Registration Form on the REAP portal. Candidates having Rajasthan State domicile have 70% seat reservation through the REAP portal.

To clear Haryana Board Class 12 exam, students need to secure 33 per cent in each subject. This includes both theory and practical papers.

Good rank in Haryana Board Class 12 exam is over 85 to 90 per cent. In 2025, HBSE 12th topper secured 497/500 (99.4%). The overall pass rates were around 85%.

Top colleges are  IMS-BHU in Varanasi, KGMU in Lucknow, and SGPGIMS in Lucknow, with other top private colleges like Teerthanker Mahaveer University in Moradabad, Teerthanker Mahaveer University in Moradabad, Nightingale Institute of Nursing in Noida, and Integral University in Lucknow.
