It's not a requirement to live in the IIT BHU hostel. When enrolled in IIT B HU, you have the option to select different housing arrangements like other hostels, rooms, or PG accommodations based on personal preferences. Although the hostel has good amenities and there are a total of 16 hostel with beautiful gardens.

IIT BHU is one of the largest IIT campuses in India because to its enormous 1300-acre campus. 14 departments and three interdisciplinary schools are housed on one large campus, which offers 64 unique courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. It has a total of 16 hostels and the library has more than 139,871 volumes of books, journals, theses, reports, standards, and pamphlets, the library is home to an excellent print collection.

As part of the admission procedure, the prospective candidates must also take a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). However, BTech qualified in IITs with an overall CGPA of 8.00 or above in 10 point scale are exempted with regard to the GATE and are directly eligible to the process. It is also worth mentioning that the minimum eligibility requirements are as well mandatory to the candidates who would like to join IIT BHU MTech programme in 2025.

IIT BHU does provide combined programmes of BTech and M.Tech in many specialisation. These programmes enable the students to pursue both their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in a combined format. The admission requirements to such integrated courses frequently have a minimum of 75% board examination marks (or equivalent) in Class 12 (or equivalent) besides other conditions.

- Choose the reference books wisely

IIT Varanasi gives no. of BTech specialisations, likewise, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutics Engineering & Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, etc. Eligibility for UG engineering admission at IIT Varanasi depends on meeting the criteria for JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
