"Form Follows Function" is a common approach to designing a building. It means that, the form of a building should be a natural outcome of the building's function. Architect Louis Sullivan once famously said “form ever follows function” to denote that in architecture and interior design the form or look of a space is secondary to its practical functionality.
For example, think of a sports stadium. The function is to allow many spectators to watch a sporting event. The form then has a big open area in the middle, with seats surrounding it in a step-like fashion. All stadiums have this basic form because of their function. T
