You may except a cut-off around 100-105 for general, 65-70 for OBC, and around 45-50 for SC/ST candidates.

Your son will easily qualify mains, as the OBC cut-off is going to be in between 75-80.

Since the cut-off of JEE advance is around 75 for general and 67 for OBC students, if you got something closer to 140, you will end up with any good IIT, and even a better branch. Your rank will be less than 6000.
All the best.

For getting any of these branches in any of the IITs, you need to get rank under 5000, for which you need around 160 -170 marks in JEE Advanced.
Best of luck.

There is not any specified books which can guarantee your rank under 100, but for good rank you may choose resonance distance learning packages.
All the best.

You can crack it, if you have really confidence that I missed the exam with little marks like that.
But, I suggest you not to waste one more year, as in future it may be questioned that where you spent these two year.
I strongly recommended you to join any college, because it is a matter of one year.
