You can get admission in B.Tech through JEE score. Earlier admissions in marine engineering government. Institutions used to take place from your JEE advance rank, but nowadays there is a separate examination known as IMUCET. All admissions in top marine engineering institutions in India take place on basis of your rank in IMUCET examination. Except fore IITs where your JEE rank counts, every other institute has its own entrance examination. Now, all you need is to clear IMUCET and college-specific Entrance Test (if any).

1. Be in top 20 percentile of the respective board.
2. Have more than 75% (or 65% for SC, ST and PwD) in the board exams. If you have satisfied any of these criteria, don't worry. You have another chance to improve your score. You can reappear for your board exams but you have to give exams of all the subjects. So you have another chance to make your way to prestigious NITs, IIITs or IITs. Subjects/subject combination:
It is mandatory for candidates to have taken 5 subjects in 12th or qualifying exam.
Number of attempts:
A JEE Mains candidate can avail 3 attempts for the national level undergraduate engineering entrance exam. To qualify JEE Mains you should satisfy atleast one these criteria:

1. The test series of FIITJEE is up to the level of real JEE Exam.
