NCERT books are surely mandatory for preparation of JEE exam. You have to master the basics, and for that NCERT books are best.
NCERT Books are enough to get good marks in the 12th, but for JEE, NCERT Books alone can't assure you the success.
This is because the number of questions for practicing are less. In order to solve more and more questions, you have to practice questions, more and more.

During your library periods in school, keep practicing MCQ type questions as much as possible, also during substitution periods as well.
During early morning, keep practicing one day physics, one day chemistry and one day mathematics throughout the week.
During afternoon, practice Mathematics. At evening, practice physics. Before bedtime, practice chemistry.
During Holidays, practice 3-4 hours/subject. Also change the subjects alternatively. The behind reason is to acquire as much as knowledge. The most important thing is to keep small breaks between the two subjects/switching on to another subjects.

I would advise you to concentrate on your studies for class 10th and subsequently for class 12th. If you study well here, you will do well in JEE Mains. Also, since syllabus is almost same. There are plenty of coaching classes in Maharashtra. You can take the one that is nearer to your home or the one where it is convenient to go.
