Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST) was founded by the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 29 of 2006 and is recognised under 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. Came into existence in 2006, the University was formerly known as Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering, (1987-2006). The university was accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is a member of various professional bodies such as the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), International Road Federation (IRF) and Indian Road Congress (IRC), among others.DCRUST offers UG, PG, and PhD courses.

The selection process for B.Tech at DCRUST is based on the score obtained in the JEE Main examination. Doctoral,  Entrance,  Based on marks scored in the entrance examination and personal interview.

According to the DCRUST Sonepat BTech cut-off 2023, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering stood at 139698 and 139698, respectively for the General All India category students. For the Home State category students, DCRUST Sonepat cutoff 2023 for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering for Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks were 87562 and 87562 respectively.
