Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST) was founded by the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 29 of 2006 and is recognised under 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. Came into existence in 2006, the University was formerly known as Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering, (1987-2006). Yes, JEE Main is one of the entrance exams accepted by Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Engineering, Management & Research (DYPIEMR) for admission to B.Tech courses. The other exam is MHT CET, which is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. The candidates should also pass the 10+2 exam or a comparable test from a recognised board with a minimum overall score of 50%.

As per the latest notification from the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), there will be total of 6 rounds for JEE counseling in 2023 through which seat allocation will be done at various NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs:

  1. Round :-  This will be the first round of counseling based on JEE Main ranks.

2.  Round : - This is the second round of seat allocation. Students can change choices submitted earlier.

3. Round 3- : Students who couldn't get a seat allotted in first two rounds are eligible for this third round.

4. Round 4:-  Another chance given to students to obtain seat allocation if they couldn't earlier. 

5. Round 5:-  One more mop-up round conducted after round 4 before final vacant seat filling.

6. Round 6: - The sixth and final round of counseling to allot any last vacant seats left unfilled in the participating institutes. 

Additionally, two preparatory mock rounds will be conducted before the counseling starts for students to get familiar with the web portal and process.

So in 2023, candidates will have six rounds spanning over 3-4 months time from June to September to seek JEE counseling and admission confirmation.

 Yes, JEE is required for B.Tech admission at SRM University Vadapalani.  

• SRM University Vadapalani accepts the JEE Main scores for admission to its B.Tech programs. Students who have qualified for JEE Main are required to apply for admission to SRM University Vadapalani using the university’s online application portal. Along with the application form, students must submit their JEE Main rank, class 12th marks  and other relevant documents.
