Several NITs and IIITs, such as NIT Jalandhar, NIT Agartala, NIT Durgapur, NIT Goa, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Raipur, and NIT Puducherry, might consider applicants with an 86 percentile. 

NIT Jalandhar and NIT Hamirpur may be able to provide chemical to those who score in the 86 percentile. 

Top private universities including JIT NOIDA, THAPAR UNIVERSITY, SRM UNIVERSITY, GRAPHIC ERA, LPU, CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY, UPES DEHRADUN, and JECRC JAIPUR are among those that might accept applicants with an 86 percentile. 

A JEE Main score of 250 or above is regarded as excellent. The 85–95 percentile score range is thought to be the best for admission to NITs and IITs.

On March 7, NTA landed the second session of the JEE Mains form rectification 2024. The JEE Mains application form correction window is available at jeemain.nta.ac.in, according to the officials. To make changes to their JEE Main 2024 application form, candidates have to enter onto the candidate site during session 2. The JEE Main 2024 form correction window was opened by the National Testing Agency on March 6. From December 6 to 8, the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 application form correction opportunity was open.

The revision of the JEE Main 2024 application form was a paid service. The JEE form correction fee could be paid by students via Paytm, UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, or debit cards. The JEE Main 2024 schedule in its entirety is accessible. The JEE Mains will be administered online by the authority. The dates of the JEE Main 2024 exam are April 4–15.

Either National Level Tests administered by different authorities or University-conducted Common Entrance Tests (CET) are used for admission to study programmes at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). 

For numerous programmes, the CET entrance exam has been withdrawn as of the 2019–20 academic year. National Level Examinations will take its place. The National Level Test application number, as supplied by the relevant national test conducting body, must be accurately entered by applicants in the online University Application form.

Note: Applicants for non-CET programmes, such as B.Tech programmes, must complete the common registration form and provide the results of their national level exams.

The following are the requirements to be eligible to apply to Thapar University for a B.Tech/BE degree: completion of 10+2 coursework in Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational Subjects with an aggregate grade of 60% (55% for SC/ST applicants). Obtaining a Class 12 Diploma in 2022, 2023, or 2024.

Students must receive at least 20% (15% for SC/ST) in JEE (Main)-2017 in order to be eligible. 

The cutoff scores for Thapar University's B.Tech programme in computer Science and engineering in 2021 were 95.67 for a fourth category, 96.67 for a third, and 98.67 for a fourth.
