With 984 marks in the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) and 88 percentile in JEE Main you may be eligible to apply for the CSE programme at Sastra University. However, admission to the programme is highly competitive, and the final decision depends on various factors, including the number of applicants, the number of seats available, and the performance of the candidates in the admission process.

The cutoffs for admission vary each year, so it's difficult to predict exactly which branch or college you will get based on your score. You should check the cutoff ranks for various NITs and IIITs for your category to get a better idea of your chances of getting into a lower branch. You can find this information on the official websites of the respective colleges. Additionally, you may also want to consider applying to other colleges, like state engineering colleges or private universities, as they may also have good programs and lower cutoffs.

Hello there! Yes of course you do have a chance! According to previous years' cutoffs, it is possible to get into NITs at this given category rank. You might get north eastern NITS with good branches. You may also get good NITs in special rounds. It depends on the college if seats are not filled. Hope it helps!
