Hello dear,
Sorry, but my answer is no. 37 percentile means about 6 lakh rank in JEE Mains. For getting admission in NITs or government colleges you have to be in top 5 percentilers, even you have the state quota of 50%. So study hard and get good marks next time.

Sorry, but my answer is no. 53 percentile means about 5 lakh rank in JEE Mains. For getting admission in NITs or government colleges you have to be in top 15 percentilers, even you have the state quota of 50%. So study hard and get good marks next time.

Sorry but my answer is no 86 percentile means about 6 lakhs rank in JEE Mains.
For getting admission in NITs you have to be in top 5 percentile even you have state quota of 50%. So study hard and next time get good marks.

Firstly, congratulations.
I believe with a marks score of 197 in JEE exam, your percentile would probably be somewhere between 97 to 98.

Normalization will be session wise so the percentile score you got would be relative to the others in your session. This score denotes the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular Percentile in that examination. So the 15 toppers are students who have all got the highest scores of 100 percentile after normalization in their respective sessions. The marks obtained in between the highest and the lowest scores have also been converted to appropriate Percentiles. JEE Main 2019 rank (probable) = (100- NTA percentile score) X 874469 /100
