Most comparable exams to KCET are normally state other level engineering entrance examination in India. These are the exams such as COMEDK UGET ( again in Karnataka, but in the private institutes), MHT CET (Maharashtra), WBJEE (West Bengal), Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh), and TS EAMCET (Telangana). Their structure is more or less the same, covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (or Biology in some streams), of MCQ nature and of the same level of difficulty in order to get admissions to undergraduate engineering courses in their respective states.

Calculating an exact KCET ranking from just your PCM score (87) and theory score (279) is complex and cannot be done precisely without knowing the weightage given to PUC (12th standard) marks versus KCET marks, the normalization process, and the performance of all other candidates in the specific year. KCET rank is derived from a fifty-fifty weightage of your CET score and your 2nd PUC marks (after normalization). You'll need to wait for the official KCET rank list released by KEA.

Yes, to get into its B.E./B.Tech course, SDM College of Engineering and Technology in Dharwad does not demand a score in KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) as a matter of first choice among candidates who have to apply under government quota. The other categories are also accepted by them on COMEDK UGET. Moreover, it has the management quota which might have some marks in other entrance tests such as JEE Main or institute level specifications. Thus, KCET score is one of the common and significant ways of admission.
