The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released the KCET 2025 results on? May?24?2025—announced at 11:30? AM, with scorecards available online from around 2:00? PM onwards via cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and karresults.nic.in.
For VKIT and other engineering colleges in Karnataka, this result date is the same—your KCET rank becomes available on that day. After results are out, the counselling process (including document verification and seat allotment for colleges like VKIT) typically begins in early to mid-June.

The KCET cutoff for Janatha Education Trust's Vivekananda Institute of Technology (VKIT) varies by branch and changes slightly each year based on demand. For the year 2024, the closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was around 50,670 in Round 1 and extended up to 67,567 in Round 2. Branches like Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning closed at around 52,849 in Round 1 and about 72,558 in Round 2. Information Science and Engineering saw closing ranks in the range of 66,932 to 92,423. KCET ranks are required for admission to BTech courses at the Bangalore Technological Institute. The ranks for admission in 2025 varied from 86752 to 245245.5 based on different rounds, the category to which the student belongs, and the specialisation of BTech in which the student is interested. Yes, you can get admission to BTech at Bangalore Technological Institute without the KCET exam. To be eligible for the course, the candidate needs to have a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12th in a relevant stream. Eligible candidates will also have to appear for the COMEDK UGET exam (if not appearing for the KCET exam) and score valid marks to secure admission to the course.

RV Institute of Technology and Management admit candidates based on performance in KCET/ COMEDK. The cutoff list is released following the exam result. Candidates who meet the RVITM BE cutoff become eligible for seat allotment. In 2024, the second round closing rank for the general All-India category candidates was 10066 for CSE, 13924 for Information Science and Engineering, and 15188 for ECE. Considering the last three years' cutoff data, a declining trend is observed.
