King George Medical University is one of the renowned univeristy which is establsihed in 1905. It is one of the best choice for the students. KGMU Lucknow is ranked 7th under the Medical category by India Today 2023, 12th by NIRF 2023 under the Medical category, and 77th by NIRF 2023 under the Overall category. King George Medical College Lucknow, through more than 60 departments and various colleges, offers UG, PG, and various other courses to students. These courses are provided across the Biochemistry, Cardiology, and various other streams.

Unfortunately, failing the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) will prevent you from being admitted to King George's Medical University (KGMU) to pursue an MBBS. The only criteria for admission to KGMU's MBBS programme are NEET UG scores; there is no direct application process available without taking the test.

The official cutoff information for the latest B.Sc. Nursing program at KGMU states that in KGMU cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank was 2199. This was for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course offered in this university. If we compare this rank to last year ranks the last round closing ranks stood at 1457 and 1623. It has shown a fluctuating trend over the years.

KGMU BSc nursing exam date has not been released yet. KGMU Lucknow will soon share the exam calendar for the BSc nursing exam online at the official website. The exam will be held in offline mode at the designated test centres in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

KGMU Lucknow will release the KGMU admit card online as per the exam schedule which is yet to be released for the acadmic year 2025-26. The KGMU hall ticket will be available for download from the official website of KGMU Lucknow.

The KGMU entrance exam has been scrapped. There is no need to fill any application form. Candidates need to appear for the UP CNET exam and then participate in the counselling process to seek admission to the medical institute.

As per the NIRF report, the placement rate for PG (3-year) Medical courses has been fluctuating over the past three years (2021 to 2023). Likewise, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the BDS placement rate. Alongside this, the placement rate for MDS has been consistently 100%. The table below depicts the KGMU placement rate trends:

The University has disclosed the median package details in the NIRF report 2024. For PG (3-year) Medical courses, the median package was constant in 2021 and 2022, however in 2023 it increased by almost 15%. For BDS and MDS courses, the median package was the same in 2021 and 2022, which later increased in 2023.
