BHU MBBS Eligibility & Highlights 2025
In the field of Medical Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) offers a full-time MBBS programme via the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU. Admission is offered based on a valid score in the NEET UG exam score, followed by counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The application form for BHU MBBS is made available in the month of June. Students willing to seek MBBS admission can register directly on the MCC portal. At the time of application submission, the candidates need to submit their NEET UG along with their All India Rank and personal details.

For MBBS in BHU, students shall have secured at least 50 percentile if belonging to the General category, 45 for physically handicapped General candidates, and 40 for the SC/ST/OBC category students. BHU MBBS Application Process 2025
Candidates seeking admission to MBBS at the BHU-affiliated college must submit the application form. In addition, aspirants must first check the eligibility criteria. Further, the steps to apply for MBBS in BHU are:

Any caste, region, religion students can apply for admission to various courses at BHU. Any caste student must fulfill the eligibility criteria and take admission. While selection process, students are not judged basis their religion, they are judged based on their merit. Hence, any student meeting the eligibility criteria can get admission in BHU. BHU does not descriminate people on any basis.
BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually jeld in March whereas, CUET-UG takes place in May. Students must check the complete schedule for exact dates. CUET applications for the coming year will begin in February and continue till April.
BHU BSc (H) admission is strictly entrance-based. Earlier, admission was through BHU-UET, however, now the students need to take the CUET-UG exam. Yes, the BHU CUET counselling process for both UG and PG courses is carried out in online mode. Candidates have to visit the BHU admission portal to register for the counselling process. As per BHU NIRF report 2023, the median package offered to UG (5-Year) course was INR 15 LPA. Moreover, as per media reports, the overall the highest and average package offered during 2023 placements stood at INR 1.2 crore per annum and INR 23.13 LPA, respectively. Yes, Banaras Hindu University accept CUET score for multiple UG courses, including BA (Hons), BCom (Hons) BSc (Hons), etc. The university is also offering admission to its PG courses based on merit in CUET-PG. Aspirants who meet the eligibility requirements can register on the BHU admission portal for counselling. The admission is done in order of merit based on the normalised score of the CUET (PG) and reservation policy as per the provisions laid down in the BHU PET Information Brochure.
BHU accepts CUET UG scores for admission to several undergraduate courses, including BA (Hons.) in Social Sciences, BA LLB (Hons.), etc. CUET cut-off for BHU has been released for UG courses. BHU has released the Round 4 Seat Allotment Result, and as per the BHU round 4 cutoff 2025, B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology was the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 628.46 for the General category student.
BHU offers entrance-based admissions to all its UG and PG courses. To get admission to any UG and PG courses, it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams. Further, the university also accepts other entrance exam such as NEET, GATE, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Hence, candidates are required to appear for the accepted entrance-exam and also meet the course-specific eligibility for admission at BHU.
Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. Apart from this, aspirant should meet the course-specific minimum eligibility requirements as well.
Moreover, the student can be asked to submit an application regarding the reason for drop out. Sometimes even this is not required.
The tuition fee for MBA at Banaras Hindu University costs around INR 10,200 - INR 2.2 L. The fee differs according to the chosen specialisation. This fee excludes other components like exam fee, hostel fee, security deposit, etc.
BHU BSc Nursing cutoff 2025 was 45932 for the General AI category students in the first round. For the OBC AI category, the first round cutoff rank was 56465. This difference in the ranks suggests that the competition for the General AI category is higher than the OBC AI category for the MBBS course.

NEET PG 2025 cut off has been reduced in comparision to last few year cut off. The cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the exam in that particular caregory. Only candidates who score the minimum marks can participate in seat allocation process. The table given below contains the cut off for each category:

BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below:
- The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
- Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET 2025 and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'.
- After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU UG courses are required to apply online for CUET-UG Counselling on the BHU UG admission portal.
- Further, candidates are required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course (s). After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU.
M.D. cutoff is based on NEET PG scores for admission to the MD and MS courses. As per NEET PG cutoff the Round 1 closing ranks for top courses including MD in Radiodiagnosis closed at 159 and MD in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy closed at 388 for the General category All India candidates. Also, NEET PG was concluded after the release of the Round 5 Seat Allotment.
