Hello Muskan, it's actually very simple get lateral admission directly into the second year of engineering. Many states give such admission based on either the marks of Diploma that a student would have done in engineering or B.Sc. It all depends on what your state has deemed to be the criteria for giving admission under this category. All the rules and regulations about this would also be available on this same website. You have made a very interesting statement. You are asking for fees in the first year of the lateral entry students in a particular branch in National Institute of Technology. firstly let me clarify that National Institute of technologies do not admit students in the lateral mode of admission but admit students in the first year of engineering based on their performance in entrance exam called JEE Mains. unfortunately different varieties charge different fees and hence a single answer to your query is not possible to give. Hello Rajyavardhan, it's very nice to hear from you that after completion of your Diploma in engineering you are interested in pursuing graduation in engineering. Normally speaking the state governments have put restrictions of domicile on admission via lateral process directly into second year of engineering into engineering colleges with their states.
