Generally, seats for St. Peter's IHER, Chennai Powered by Emversity BPT are filled at the start of the first year to ensure students complete the full integrated curriculum. Lateral entry depends entirely on the partner university's current policies and the availability of vacant seats in the second year. Because the "EDGE" curriculum is highly specialised and includes unique industry-integrated modules, transfers from traditional colleges can be complex. Interested students should contact the admission office directly to check for any specific lateral entry openings.

NO — you are NOT eligible for lateral entry (direct 2nd year) in ICT Mumbai.

  • ICT Mumbai does NOT offer lateral entry admission into B.Tech programs (including Food Engineering).

  • Even if you have a Diploma in Food Technology (like from Parul University), you cannot directly join 2nd year B.Tech there.

  • Admission is only through:

    • JEE Main

    • or MHT CET

  • You must apply for first-year B.Tech, not lateral entry.

It depends on your goals. If you want to start working soon and gain practical skills, a Diploma is a good option. If you seek deeper knowledge, better career growth, and higher positions, a B.Tech degree is usually the better choice. At LPU, both options include industry exposure and EduRev-powered learning, so you will benefit either way. LPU offers Diploma programs in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Science Engineering, focusing on hands-on training. The B.Tech programme covers a wider range, including CSE with specializations like AI, Data Science, and Cyber Security, as well as Mechanical, Civil, ECE, Aerospace, a
