No, students need not to appear for JEE Main for lateral entry in AKTU. Students are eligible for B.Tech Lateral Entry to the second year at AKTU, without JEE scores. Candidates can get admission in B.Tech (Lateral) through CUET UG/ Diploma in Engineering/ BSc or DVoc. The final seat allotment is via UPTAC counselling process.

- Minimum 45% (40% for Reserved Category) in 2-3 year Diploma in any branch of Engineering and Technology.
- Minimum 45% (40% for Reserved Category) in BSc with Mathematics in Class 12.

Yes, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University does offer lateral entry in all BTech branches as per availability. Selected students get entry directly in the second year of the course. Aspirants must pass three-year Diploma after Class 10 or Diploma after Class 12 in relevant branch of Engineering or BSc with relevant subjects with at least 45% aggregate to apply.

Yes, lateral entry admission is available in most BTech colleges in Nagpur. Diploma holders in engineering who have completed a three-year Polytechnic programme are eligible for direct admission to the second year (third semester) of BTech through the lateral entry route. The admission is done through a separate lateral entry merit list based on the Diploma percentage.

Admission to B.Tech (LEET) programs at JC Bose University of Science and Technology is made through centralised counselling conducted by HSTES. For vacant/ seats, the University conducts institute-level counselling. Admission is granted strictly on the basis of rank in the OCET conducted by HSTES and marks in the qualifying exam.
