Yes, there is a provision for lateral entry for BCom courses, which allows students who have completed a relevant Diploma or other prior learning to enter directly into the second or third year of a B.Com course.

Candidate should pass in three years Diploma in Mech. / Marine / EEE / ECE with minimum 55% aggregate in final year. The minimum of 50% in English during Class 10 or Diploma. Qualifying in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India is NOT mandatory for Diploma candidates

Medical fitness certificate & Merchant Marine Psychometric Evaluation Test certificate obtained from Directorate General of Shipping approved Medical Officer. A Valid passport is required at the time of admission at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Kanchipuram.
