Talking about the lateral entry in BTech Physics course 

Lateral entry is usually for Diploma holders into engineering courses. B.Tech in Physics isn't common; lateral entry in it is rare.

AKTU provides lateral entry admissions to its BTech course through CUET UG. Through lateral entry, candidates are admitted directy to the second year of BTech. Candidates with a valid CUET UG score can apply for the counselling process if they fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria:

  • A 3/4-year Diploma with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) aggregate from an institution recognised by the UP Board of Technical Education (BTEUP) in any stream of Engineering (except Agriculture Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture),  OR
  • A BSc degree from a recognised university as defined by UGC, with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates)

Yes, of course. You can get lateral entry admission to the BTech Information Technology course if you have a 3-year engineering Diploma in a relevant course with at least 50% marks in the final exams. The lateral entry provision allows you to directly enter the 2nd year of the BTech IT course and complete the degree in 3 years. Colleges like Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (Noida) and Lovely Professional University offer lateral entry to the BTech Information Technology course.

For the lateral entry admission in iimt for a 3 year B.Pharma course you must be completed a 2 year Diploma with minimum of 60% then you'll be directly entered in the 2nd year of the 3 year degree.

For 2025 admission you can directly apply online through their official website or visit the campus or call the admission office for further details
