The Guardian ranks the University of Leicester at #40 in the year 2026 which is an improvement from what it was in the last year (#34).

Yes, an interview or a portfolio review is required for some courses at the De Montfort Uni Leicester. Programs that come under the Faculty of Arts, Design, and Humanities are usually the ones that require students to share a portfolio and give an interview.

Yes, DMU Leicester does refund the initial deposit made if the visa gets cancelled or they fail to meet the entry requirements.
However, if a student changes their mind or fail to meet the maintenance requirements, the university may retain the deposit.
To request a refund students need to use the DMU Deposit Refund Request Form.

Students from Punjab, Haryana, UP, and those using a Medium of Instruction (MOI) from any other state, need to pay GBP 10,000 (INR 12.6 Lakhs) before requesting a CAS letter.
Students from other Indian states using any English test score need to pay a minimum 50% of the tuition fee.

Yes, students can defer their entry to the De Montfort Uni in Leicester. Students facing issues with the UK student visa will be automatically deferred to the next possible intake.

Yes, Indian students can pay their tuition fee in 2 installments at the Uni of Leicester. At least 50% of the annual fee is paid at the start of the course. The rest is paid as per the installment plan mentioned below:
