Admission to Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET) is competitive, with cutoffs for B.Tech programs are around the 42,000-44,000 range in recent years. For BE programs, the cutoffs can be  higher, reaching around 162,000-173,000. Admission is primarily through TNEA counseling for government quota seats, and direct application for management quota seats.

Typically, results for odd semesters (November–December) are released by February–March. Results for even semesters (April–May) are made public by July–August. Although Anna University's academic calendar serves as a reference, the precise dates of the 2025 results are not yet known. Using their registration number, students can view their results on the official LICET or Anna University website.

The college offers only BTech and MTech courses. Admission to MTech is not done based on the scores obtained in any entrance exam. But, the candidates having valid scores in GATE or any other entrance exams will be given preference. Admission to BTech courses at the Loyola - ICAM College of Engineering and Technology is done based on the scores obtained in the TNEA counseling. The rank required in counseling for admission in 2024 for students belonging to the general category ranges between 10082 and 35670. The management quota, which covers 50% of seats, allows direct admission to Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET) for B.E./B.Tech.
