Yes, you can. But, GATE exam is compulsory for doing M.Tech.

If you have less than 60% in engineering, don't opt for GATE, as you need 60% for the same. You need first class Bachelor degree to pursue M.Tech from IITs and NITs.
If you have scored below 60% and have less interest in engineering subjects, you can go for MBA.

To get a Government Job, you just need to have a Graduation Degree.
So, you are eligible for many Government job exams.
So, you should try to prepare for those Exams like - SSC CGL IBPS Bank PO, IBPS SO bank Exams, Railway Exams etc.
