No, there is no course available like M.Tech in banking and finance in India. PG courses are available as:
1. M.Sc. in finance
2. MBA in finance
3. PGDM with finance major
4. MMS in finance
5. PGDM in banking and finance, etc.

Both the courses are good. The most preferable would be M.Tech because it is in relation to B.Tech and there is a wide scope in mechanical engineering. If you get admission in any of the top 50 colleges for pursuing MS, then MS is the best choice. You need to score above 320 marks in GRE exam.

There is a lot of difference between a PG Diploma and M.Tech. M.Tech has a higher value than PGD. Also, when you go for a job interview, M.Tech candidates are preferred over PGD candidates.

Only B.Tech is not good even if you have good knowledge Most of the companies demand PG degree. So doing PG, not only opens all the doors for your good and safe future , but also creates a platform to show your skills.
