Hello Brahmmala, As per the NTA guidelines candidates who have completed their Masters degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (for General) or 50% aggregate marks (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD) or are in the qualifying year can apply for the UGC NET exam. UGC NET exam is conducted in 81 subjects. Candidates can apply for the UGC NET exam with their post graduation subject or related to that. No, not at all. It's totally based on concepts. If you had studied in class 10th and 12th sincerely, you will be easily able to crack the exam.

I am really very sorry to tell you about UPES for the M.Tech HSE that you have to have more than 75% in your B.Tech so that you can take admissions in UPES for M.Tech. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is a very good college but as your percentage is quite less, so I would suggest you to take admission in some other college as UPES does not give admissions to the students those who have scored less than 75% in class 12th as well.
