The following options for M.Tech admission without GATE:
IIIT Hyderabad PGEE-Test in April end, interview in June
IIIT Delhi- Test and interview in first week of June, after shortlisting on the basis of B.Tech percentage
IIIT Bhubaneswar- Test in May end
BITS Pilani HD-Test in May
BIT Mesra- Test in July
Delhi University (electronics only) -Test and interview/GD in mid June
JNU- Test in December
IPUCET, Delhi- Test in May
Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi- Test in June beginning
Other options include-IIITM Kerala, NIST Odisha, NITTTR, NICMAR
State level exams include-CUCET (for various states), TANCET (Tamil Nadu), PGCET (Karnataka), Andhra Pradesh PGECET (AP).
Private college exams include- VITMEE SRMGEET, UPES, DAIICT, COEP, KIITEE
HBTU, Kanpur and NSIT, Delhi also admit non-GATE students against vacant seats.
Institutes like NIT Raipur and NIT Jammu also admitted non-GATE students recently after spot round of CCMT. You can keep a check. You can also take sponsored seats atIITs/NITsand other institutes without GATE if you have some work experience.
Teachers can apply for M.Tech under the quality improvement programme.

Hi, Go for B.Tech in biotechnology. The three-year B.Sc. Course is conducted as any other science subject and the students can go for the M.Sc. Course and take up research later. The B.Tech course is the better option. Selection will be on the basis of the engineering entrance examination and marks obtained in plus two or equivalent examinations in Science subjects. Students who pass the qualifying examination with at least 50 percent marks in mathematics and as much in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biotechnology, computer Science or biology taken together are eligible to take the entrance examination.
A few universities offer a five-year integrated M.Sc. Biotechnology course for plus two students in the Science stream. The biotechnology industry is witnessing good growth worldwide. India will have a competitive advantage in the industry since it is knowledge-intensive. A biotechnologist, depending on the area of specialisation, can find jobs in biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies or in chemical, agricultural, and allied industries. Research institutes and laboratories provide good job opportunities for those with M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees. Teaching is a good option. It is good to know that you are going for E-PGDM after obtaining M.Tech degree. Now, your 'long Experience in teaching' will help you or not will depends on what career opportunities you are seeking after your PGDM. For example, M.Tech + PGDM in HR will opens the door HR Analytics, Senior Manager in HR at major Tech or IT companies like Adobe or Microsoft etc.
These companies requires tech and business background candidature. However, I do not think that your teaching experience would be helpful in this case. On the other hand, if after completing your PGDM, you want to rejoin the university (as administrator, Associate Dean, chancellor etc.), that would be better and relevant option for you. One more suggestion, if you want to do your Masters, you may try some other field of business like Banking & Finance, Business Analytics etc. To get wider opportunities in corporate sector.
