In the written admission test there are two parts: one is MMA and the other is PQB.
In MMA there are 30 MCQ questions each carrying 4 marks from 10+2 level. According to me the level of questions is between JEE Main and JEE Advanced mathematics question paper. So prepare well. Any JEE Advanced book is suggested. Also solve the previous question papers and some sample papers from ISI website, then you'll have an idea of the question pattern.
In PQB section there are 10 or 11 questions and you need to solve 6 questions each carrying 20 marks, so total 120 marks. Here people from mechanical background will get an advantage over other depart

Yes you can but for this you have to give GATE exam in ECE only for VLSI Degin Master course. Just prepare for GATE for ECE branch. You can check the syllabus of GATE ECE you will find some of the subject are common in EE and ECE and remaining you can prepare in less time also. Just go with the concepts the branches are not too different. All institute in government allow Master in VLSI to ECE branch only not EE. Hope it solved your query. Best of luck.
For any further query please feel free to ask me.

Yes, definitely, you can go to the ISRO and NASA. In ISRO, if you are a Ph.D candidate, they offer a job without interview also.

Both are different of fields. You should go in which you have pursued B.Tech. You should do M.Tech with the same branch that will enhance your knowledge in same field and really help you out for the good future.

Anybody who could manage a good enough CGPA (around 7 and above) had lot of opportunities of internships and placements from reputed companies and if you have managed to get a valid GATE score, you will get the scholarship. The tuition has been reduced from the time when I was in M.Tech. I think the selection criteria too has changed.
You will probably have to write another entrance test of Manipal to secure the M tech admission, but if you have cleared GATE it will not be a big hurdle. Yes, on a whole Manipal is good for M.Tech, Manipal has 24 postgraduate course including ME (Master of engineering). Placements are very good especially

Hi Jerrin,
Masters in technology {M.Tech} computer science course can be pursued by B.Tech students or students having M.Sc in computer science. After BCA it's not possible. But MCA is also a good option for getting into IT jobs. You can also pursue MBA if you want to pursue your career in the management field.
I would like to recommend Vellore Institute for MCA and Doon Business School for MBA program as its ROI is impressive.
