Normally speaking, lateral entry mode is available to the students having domicile of the state. Anna University is the nodal agency for the state of Tamil Nadu and all government and private colleges. Deemed to be universities are outside the ambit. Admissions are based on marks obtained in Diploma. Hence I suggest you must score well in your Diploma exam. All relevant information is available on the website of Anna University. For direct admission purpose, you need have to contact with their admission department. No college will tell you that they are taking direct admission in any course. So, it's better to make a contact with admission department.
