State eligibility for NEET exam can be overcome with help of Domicile Certificate. If you have Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra, then you can select Maharashtra.

There are plenty of colleges in Mumbai area which is also called as Brihanmumbai, which have mechanical engineering as a branch of studies. For getting admission in government or government aided colleges you will have to appear for ACET conducted by the government of Maharashtra & for colleges run by deemed universities will have to appear for entrance exam conducted by the concerned University. Mumbai being the hub of many Industries placements in any of the colleges poses no problem and majority of the students get placed.
