You have already pursued HSC (with Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and passed also. So, now again you cannot pursue a separate subject for getting into admission after studying. So, don't waste a year on this. Pursue what is applicable and eligible and start your professional life.

Getting admission in IITs will be based on rank, as we can't assure how other students who appeared have performed. So, If you are like less than 3000 AIR, then you can get admission in any one of the top IITs.

Yes, you can get admission anytime you want. You can still get admission there. Just tell them about the situation that you are giving a compartment and you can score well. Otherwise if you fail in the compartment as well, they will still give admission. Then you have to tell them that you will be showing improvement for it and surely passing in it.
